Run/Walk/Roll along our 1K Race Course!
Our 1K Race is a great option for those who want to get out and have fun supporting the 5K In My Shoes event without having to run a 5K distance. our 1K race is a distance of 0.62 miles, so a little over a half a mile run. Participants registering for the 1K race will receive a race t-shirt and a fun bib to wear during their race. The 1K race is not timed so it can be more fun, and there are no awards for the finishers of the 1K race. The race for the 1K will begin right after the 5K runners that begin at 8:30 AM at Envision. Cheer all racers and enjoy all of the fun free games, vendor booths, and activities. Pre-registration is recommended; however, same-day registration is also available.
1K Race Route
The start line begins on the east side of Envision on St. Vrain Street near 37th street. Participants will begin the race at 8:30 AM by traveling south on St. Vrain street, passing through the intersection of 40th street, look for the turnaround sign and race volunteer directing you so you stay on the 1K course. Then at the turnaround point just after 40th street, return back to Envision by traveling north on St. Vrain street and cross the finish line back near 37th street.
